$40.00

Mail-Order Medicine For Your Mind!

BooksRX is a quarterly curated collection of the best that North American independent publishers have to offer. We’re excited to prescribe publishers, writers and artists that we think should be a part of any literary medicine cabinet.

Available as a single dosage (one issue) or as a full regimen (annual subscription), each installment of BooksRX is a limited edition arranged around a loose theme.

Issue 2: "Foodie Frenzy"

Our second issue is inspired by the abundance of local foods, talented chefs and international cuisines here in the Pacific Northwest. Included is:

Shiro: Wit, Wisdom and Recipes from a Sushi Pioneer: A signed copy of the brand-spanking-new memoir and seasonal cook book from Seattle's "godfather of sushi" Chef Shiro Kashiba. The Seattle Times gushed, "Sushi lovers will delight in this softbound sensation, filled with artwork and ephemera that traces Shiro-san's footsteps from his native Kyoto to Tokyo's Ginza district to Seattle's International District and beyond."

A Commonplace Book of Pie: Seattle poet and pie maker Kate Lebo's handmade book of real and imagined facts about pie. Each copy is a numbered limited edition featuring a letterpressed cover, prose poems and recipes.

Terroryaki!: Winner of the 2011 3-Day Novel Contest, this is a funny, spicy and creepy-sweet ode to food, family, and the best—if slightly cursed—dish of chicken teriyaki to be found in this realm of existence. Written by Seattle area author Jennifer K. Chung.

PLUS other small surprises!

*We only have a few issues left of Volume 2, so when they're gone, they're gone!*

BooksRX is available exclusively through the Chin Music Press online store, and each installment includes shipping to the US and Canada. International shipping is available.
