Set in Houston in the last year of the twentieth century, School Board is a roaring comic allegory for the coming post-9/11 world and generation. At the center of this hilarious tale is quixotic high school senior class president Tucker “Catfish” Davis, who has never encountered a fight he didn’t take on. Events soon have Tucker challenging school board incumbent Walker Moore, a senior executive at an Enron-like company. Like his Louisiana populist heroes, rabble-rousing Tucker is not opposed to using Huey Long-style tactics to win and protect the “little folks” of Houston.

Mike Freedman lives in Houston, where he was born and raised. After graduating college, he served in the Army in the infantry and in the Special Forces as a Green Beret.
